2012 Latino Luncheon Scholars Award
Erika Rico & Joana Perez received Scholars Award.
Today, September the 7th, like every 1st Friday of the month for almost 10 years the Latino Luncheon Chester County meets today this time for a special occasion.
Today we celebrate and present to Erika Rico & Joana Perez the 2012 Latino Luncheon Scholars Award. These two exceptional young students have great self-motivate spirit along with extraordinary records.
The Latino Luncheon Scholars Award was created by the Chester County Latino Luncheon. It is made possible by the generous participation of our friends and sponsors (Conventry Cares From Health America, Mora Family Dentistry, Keyston Federal Credit Union and MacElree Harvey, Ltd. Law Offices), of the "Latin Night: Eat, Drink, Dance and Network for a good cause” event back in April 2012. We were able to present to each student a $1500 Scholar Award!
The Latino Luncheon established this endowment to support Latino students who have demonstrated a commitment to completing their education and have certain financial hardships that make it difficult for them to pay for the cost of attending West Chester University. This scholarship is intended to help these students achieve their educational goals and can be applied toward any education-related costs, including textbooks, lab fees, and/or any other fees associated with their studies.
This one-time scholarship is managed in collaboration with the West Chester University Foundation. We wish them the best as they continue their university career.
Congratulations Erika Rico & Joana Perez on your selection for a 2012 Latino Luncheon Scholars Award!
