La noche del sábado 22 de agosto, mientras la naturaleza desataba una tormenta de rayos y centellas, dentro del recinto del Grand Opera House en Wilmington.
14 lindas jóvenes hispanas participaron de un electrizante evento Miss Delaware Hispana 2009. La ganadora de tan importante evento fue Jennifer Lee Figueroa, seguida por la primera finalista, Sharonliz Cabrera; segundo lugar, Jessica Mercado
3ra finalista, Jessica Muñoz Romero; Miss fotogenia, Ana Hernández y Miss simpatía, Cecilia Trujillo.
Jennifer, de 16 años, quien demostró su talento en escena tocando trompeta y bailando, es una chica de origen boricua que ha sobresalido en todas las actividades que realiza, tanto académica como extracurricularmente. Jennifer, además de estudiante, músico, bailarina y actriz, es una ferviente creyente de Cristo que no dudo en dar testimonio de su fe, ante la audiencia de altura que asistió a tan magno evento. Además de la corona, Miss Delaware Hispana recibirá un premio en metálico de 1,000 dólares a ser usados como beca para sus estudios superiores al culminar la secundaria. The night of Saturday August 22nd, while nature stroke Delaware with a storm of thunder and lightning, inside Wilmington’s Grand Opera House walls 14 beautiful young ladies participated in the electrifying Miss Hispanic Delaware 2009 Pageant. The winner of such an important event resulted being Jennifer Lee Figueroa, followed by 1st Runner Up, Sharonliz Cabrera; 2nd Runner Up: Jessica Mercado, 3rd Runner Up: Jessica Muñoz Romero; Miss Congeniality: Cecilia Trujillo, and Miss Photogenic: Ana Hernandez. Jennifer, age 16, who demonstrated her talent on scene by playing trumpet and dancing, is a girl of Boriquen origins that has excelled in all the activities she performs, both academic and extracurricular. Besides being an excellent student, musician, dancer and actress, Jennifer is a devoted Christian who did not hesitate attesting her faith in front of the public attending the ceremony. Along with the crown, Jennifer will receive a $1,000 scholarship to be utilized for her college education as soon as she graduates from high school. Congratulation Jennifer!
